Remember last weekend when we were all cursing the cold and the fact that we couldn’t feel our face? Well this weekend isn’t last weekend, and it’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood and it’s time to do all that winter city stuff Edmonton is so proud of.

Go look at ice sculptures in Old Strathcona, go walk in the Mill Creek Ravine, go play some shinny on an outdoor rink. Whatever it is you want to do go do it because Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 3 C this afternoon with a windchill of -14 C in the morning.

A mix of sun and clouds will overlook our city before it becomes sunny in the morning. Later tonight the windchill is expected to make it feel like – 11. Winds are expected to reach 15 km/h later tonight.

If you have chores to do today or you’re finishing up some leftover work don’t panic, the sun is expected to be back tomorrow with Sunday’s forecasts showing a sunny day with a high of -1 C with a -12 windchill in the morning and a low of -4 C throughout the day.

Finally we’ve hit that good winter city part of the winter, not that yuck why do I live here part of the winter city.
